6.24.1 CONTINUOUS SHOOTING
What it Does When in Superior Auto mode, and the camera thinks your
subject is moving, this feature allows the camera to shoot continuously in
order to increase the odds of getting 1 sharp shot
Recommended Setting Auto
In Superior Auto mode, when ascertaining the kind of scene you’re
shooting, the camera may decide on its own that you’re trying to shoot
something that’s moving, whether it be a runner or a close-up of a flower
being blown in the wind. In such an instance, if this feature is set to AUTO
(which is the factory default), the camera may decide to take multiple
pictures instead of just one (shooting continuously for as long as you hold
your finger on the shutter release button), increasing the chances of you
getting one non-blurry shot.
If for some reason you don’t want the camera deciding whether to shoot
continuously like this, you can set this menu function to OFF, but be aware
that the camera will still shoot multiple times when it decides to go into
HDR or Handheld Twilight mode while in Superior Auto.

6.24.2 IMAGE EXTRACTION

images
Recommended Setting Auto
When the Continuous Shooting function (previous section) is set to AUTO,
and the camera decides to shoot continuously, you can tell the camera
