           1.2.10   AF RANGE CONTROL
           This can be a handy function for those lenses that are prone to hunting –
           specifically, macro lenses and long telephoto lenses.  With this feature you
           can  tell  your  camera  “here,  hunt  for  focus  only  within  this  range  of
           distances” and it should save you a lot of time and frustration.  Regretfully
           this feature can’t use it during movie making, where in my mind it would
           have been the most useful.  You can read more about this feature in Section
           6.10.1.



































            Figure 1-14:  You can use your Wi-Fi-enabled smartphone as a remote control
            (and remote viewfinder) – as you can see it captured quite an expression on
            the test subject (top, left).  There’s also a new wired option (top right) which
            plugs into the A77 II's USB port called the RM-VPR1 (right).  Older methods like
            using the infrared remote control or the original Sony Shutter Release Cable L
            (all on bottom row) still work too.
