Menu Position MENU 4 Date / Time Setup
What it Does Sets the system time, day, and display format
Recommended Setting n/a
When you turn on your camera for the first time you see this screen, which
asks for the time and the Area setting (next section). The only reason to
access this is if you change time zones and you wish to have the
timestamps on your images accurate.
If you're looking to set the camera's clock to be accurate to the second, use
this technique:
1. Invoke this menu item.
2. Enter the time and date one minute ahead of the current time
3. When you press the center of the joystick ("Enter"), the time is set
and the clock starts counting from zero seconds.
9.19 AREA SETTING
This sets your time zone. It is used to help the camera switch to daylight
Savings Time automatically when that feature is enabled in the Date / Time
setup (previous section).
