Menu Position MENU  3  Wide AF Area Display

What It Does Lets you see the focus points even if they’re not selecting
anything at the moment.

Recommended Setting On

Figure 6-16 pretty much explains this function in 2 pictures.

Figure 6-16: Do you want to see the AF points or not? The Wide Area AF
Display function will turn them on or off.
