LUBRICATION SYSTEM
Remove the oil strainer [1] and seal ring [2].
Clean the oil strainer and check for damage, replace it if [1]
necessary.

• Align the oil strainer boss with the oil pump groove.
• Always replace the seal ring with a new one.
• Apply engine oil to a new seal ring. [2]

Remove the following: [1]
[1]/[2]/[3]
– Oil joints [1], O-rings [2], and back up rings [3] [2]
– Gasket [4]
– O-rings [5]

• Always replace the O-rings, back up rings, and
gasket with new ones.
• Apply engine oil to new O-rings.
• Install new O-rings and back up rings to the oil joints
as shown.

Remove the oil filter screen [1].

Clean the oil filter screen and check for damage,
replace it if necessary.

• Install the oil filter screen into the oil pan as shown.
Fill the engine with the recommended engine oil and
check that there are no oil leaks (page 3-12).
