                                                                       FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
                               Move the steering stem [1]  right and left, lock-to-lock,
                               five times to seat the bearings.                                                    [1]

















                               Retighten the steering stem adjusting nut [1] to the
                               specified torque using a special tool.
                                                                                                                   [2]
                               TOOL:
                               Steering stem socket [2]    07916-KA50100
                               TORQUE:15 N·m (1.5 kgf·m, 11 lbf·ft)
                               Recheck that the steering stem moves smoothly without
                               play or binding.




                                                                                                    [1]
                               Install the brake hose clamp [1] and bolt [2] and tighten
                               the bolt to the specified torque.                            [2]
                               TORQUE:10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7 lbf·ft)

                               Install the top bridge [1].
                                                                                             [2]
                               Install the steering stem nut [2], but do not tighten it yet.
                               Install the forks (page 17-22).
                               Tighten the steering stem nut to the specified torque.
                               TORQUE:100 N·m (10.2 kgf·m, 74 lbf·ft)
                               Turn the steering stem left and  right, lock-to-lock
                               several times to make sure the steering stem  moves
                               smoothly without play or binding.
