GENERAL
• Check the battery condition before performing any inspection that requires proper battery voltage.
• Use an electric heating element to heat the water/coolant mixture for the ECT sensor inspection. Keep flammable materials
away from the electric heating element. Wear protective clothing, insulated gloves and eye protection.
• A continuity test can be made with the switches installed on the motorcycle.
• If the ECM/PCM is replaced, perform the following procedure.
– Key Registration Procedure (page 23-3)
– Clutch Initialize Learning Procedure (CRF1000D) (page 13-82)
• The following color codes are used throughout this section.
Bl = Black Bu = Blue Br = Brown G = Green Lg = Light green O = Orange
R = Red W = White Y = Yellow
