FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Be careful not to Loosen the fork bolt [1] while holding the lock nut [2]. [1]
damage the fork
bolt when loosening
it.

Remove the following:

– Fork bolt assembly [1] [1]
– O-ring [2]
– Spring seat stopper [3] [3]
Remove the stopper plate [4] and spring collar holder
[5].
Remove the spring collar [6]. [4]

Pour out the fork fluid by pumping the outer pipe [1]
several times. [1] [2]
Pour out the fork fluid from the fork damper by pumping
the damper rod [2] several times.
Remove the fork spring [3].

[3]
Hold the axle holder in a vise with soft jaws or a shop
towel. [1]/[2]
Remove the fork center bolt [1] and sealing washer [2].
