CRANKCASE/TRANSMISSION/BALANCER
UPPER CRANKCASE BEARING
REPLACEMENT

Remove the following:
– Transmission (page 14-15)
– Crankshaft (page 15-4)
– Piston (page 15-12)

LEFT MAINSHAFT BEARING
Remove the left mainshaft bearing [1] using the special
tools. [1]
TOOLS:
Bearing remover shaft set, 07936-ZV10100
25 mm
Remover weight 07741-0010201
Apply engine oil to a new left mainshaft bearing.
Drive in a new Drive in the left mainshaft bearing until it is fully seated
bearing squarely using the special tools.
with the marking
side facing toward TOOLS:
the inside of the Driver, 15 x 280L 07949-3710001
crankcase. Attachment, 52 x 55 mm 07746-0010400
Pilot, 25 mm 07746-0040600
Install the removed parts in the reverse order of
removal.

SHIFT DRUM NEEDLE BEARING (CRF1000D)
Drive out the shift drum needle bearing [1].

Apply engine oil to a new needle bearing.
Drive in the needle Drive in the needle bearing until it is in position as
bearing squarely shown using the special tools.

side facing toward TOOLS:
the outside of the Driver, 15 x 280L 07949-3710001
crankcase. Pilot, 12 mm 07746-0040200
Install the removed parts in the reverse order of
removal.
